Saturday 6th May, Leavesden Country Park celebrated the rich diversity and culture of the area by hosting family heritage day.

Our students artwork was on display in the park along with the story of Violet Cressy- Marcks (1895–1970) .She was an explorer mainly active between the wars and travelled to countries such as Spain, Africa and India. She was buried at Langlebury church.

Our artwork focused on colours representing countries she travelled to and animals she may have encountered. We worked with the medium of wool, wrapping objects, felting, and weaving.

They looked great displayed in the outdoors. Well done students of Breakspeare school!
